Carl Wallace Anderson

Carl Wallace Anderson, 96, passed away on June 3, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center.                         

He was born in Hodges, Mont., son of the late Carl Helge and Tilda Helvik Anderson. He graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a life time member of the Alumni Association and of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

He retired from E.I. Dupont Company in 1979 with 37 plus years of service having worked in the Explosives, Manhattan Project in Oakridge, Tenn. and Hanford, Wash., Grasselli Chemicals and the Plastics Departments. 

He was a 50 year member of both St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Vienna Masonic Lodge.   

He enjoyed building, refinishing furniture and working in his shop.

He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Anderson Connour and her husband, Charles, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; and a son, Robert C. Anderson and his wife, Jolene, of the home; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the Lambert –Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, W.Va. The family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
