Florence Marie Leaf, age 83, of Glendive, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Glendive Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Will Johnson and Reverend Avis Anderson officiating. Interment will be held in Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Florence was born on September 10, 1933 in Glendive, to parents Toni and Lena Hangs. She grew up and went to school in Glendive, and graduated from Dawson County High School with the class of 1951. She met Jim Leaf, and the couple was married on April 11, 1954 in Glendive. To this union, two children were born, a son, Steve, and a daughter, Patti. Florence was employed throughout her life with Lincoln School as a cook. She worked for the school until retirement.
Florence enjoyed anything crafty, doing puzzles, watching game shows, camping, fishing and going out for coffee.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Toni and Lena; her husband, Jim; and grandson, Dustin.
Florence is survived by her children, Steve of Missouri and Patti of Glendive; grandchildren, Andrew, of Glendive and Shauna (Louie) of Williston, N.D.; and great-grandchildren, Raven, Xander and Jaxson.
