Adeline (Buller) Ost, age 88, of Glendive passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care in Glendive.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Reverend Avis Anderson officiating. Interment will be held in Dawson County Cemetery. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Adeline was born on March 30, 1929. At the time of her birth, her family lived on a small farm about 3 3/4 miles from the Red Top School and church in the Bloomfield area. Her parents were Chris and Lena (Schmidt) Buller.
Adeline attended a country school for her 8 years of education. In her youth, she accepted Christ and was baptized and helped in the church.
At the age of 17 she moved to Glendive with her parents and helped them until the time of their deaths. Adeline made her home in Glendive and lived there until her death.
She did housecleaning, cleaned motels and was a nurse’s aide in the N.P. Hospital and also in the Glendive Community Nursing Home.
She was a life member of the Frontier Gateway Museum and also served on the museum board of trustees.
On June 10, 1967 she married William Ost. They were married for four years.
Her husband, parents, grandparents, three sisters, and seven brothers preceded her in death.
Left to mourn her passing are her sisters-in-law Sara Buller of Breman, Ind., Helen Buller of Newton, Kan., and Ruth Buller of Great Falls; and numerous other relatives, friends, neighbors, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Memorials in Adeline’s name are suggested be made to the charity of one’s choice.
