LaDonna Roesler, age 80, of Billings, formerly of Glendive, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Billings Clinic in Billings.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
LaDonna Jean was born on August 21, 1937 in Glendive, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Matchette) Jones. She was raised and educated near Savage and Glendive. LaDonna married her best friend, Emil Roesler, on November 6, 1955. Together they resided in Glendive and raised two children. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage until Emil’s passing in 2012. One of LaDonna’s greatest passions were quilting and crafting. She crocheted beautiful doilies, table cloths and later went on to make stunning quilts and wall hangings. She looked forward to her yearly quilt retreats with old and new friends. LaDonna also loved wintering in Ariz. and the time she spent there with sisters and all the great friends she made there. Her cherished companion, Nikki the Pomeranian, was always by her side. More than anything, LaDonna loved her family and greatly enjoyed all the time she spent with them.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth; husband, Emil Roesler; and brother, Donnie Jones.
Survivors include her son, Steve Roesler of Billings; daughter, Deb Roesler of Billings; three grandchildren, Jill (Jason) Fitzgerald and their children Braeden, Brogan and Brinnen, all of Billings, Sheyenne (Sean) Doyle and children Lincoln and Macie, and Stefanie (Cameron) Meek and children Layne, Austin, Paislee and Kayson, all of Glendive; brother, Darrell Jones; and sisters, Betty Colby, Lynn Balback and Linda Robson.
