Patricia Darlene Kalloch, age 78, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her home in Glendive. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Will Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Pat was born on February 7, 1937 in Glendive, a daughter of Vurr and Mildred (Berg) Cady. She was raised and educated in Glendive and graduated from Dawson County High School with the class of 1955. Following her high school education, Pat went to work as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Company.
Later on March 23, 1973, Pat was united in marriage to Ed Kalloch in Glendive where they remained until they moved to Billings for a short time in the 1980s. While in Billings, Pat continued to work for the telephone company. They later moved to Helena where she retired from the telephone company in 1993. Following Pat’s retirement they moved back to Glendive where she has been since.
Pat and Ed always had a motor home and loved traveling throughout Montana. They took countless trips camping, fishing, boating and she especially loved visiting Fort Peck. Pat also enjoyed doing needlepoint and crocheting. Pat was always a social person and loved visiting with her friends although time spent with her grandkids was cherished time. She always remembered to give out special occasion cards to her family.
Pat was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary, and was on her third term as the president. She was also a Gold Circle member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vurr Cady and Mildred Sampson; husband, Ed in 2003; and one granddaughter, Paula Hoyer in 2012.
Pat is survived by her sister, Shirley (Lloyd) Aspenlieder of Culbertson, Montana; step-son, Tom (JoAnn) Kalloch of Glendive; step-daughter, Dallas Peuse of Bozeman, Montana; nephews, Alan (Raedelle) Aspenlieder of Culbertson and Jeff Aspenlieder of Culbertson; numerous great-nieces and nephews; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and special friend, Marge (Fen) Wilkinson of Glendive.
