Annette Marie Haggerty, age 73, of Glendive, went to be with the Lord following a brief illness on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her son’s home in Spearfish, S.D.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Francis Schreiber officiating. Rite of Committal will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Annette was born on September 20, 1942 in Glendive. She was the daughter of Max and Margaret (Seeberger) Feisthamel. She attended schools in Glendive, and graduated with the class of 1960 at Dawson County High School. She retired as a secretary from the Justice of Peace after 32 years. Annette married James “Butch” Haggerty on August 26, 1961; they were married for 47 years. Family and friends were Annette’s passion and delight. She loved going shopping, reading, spending time gardening, going out for coffee with her sisters and friends and following the Montana Grizzlies and Green Bay Packers Football teams.
Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Butch; infant daughter, Marie; parents, Max and Margaret; and brother, Bob.
Survivors include sons, Shawn (Sundae) of South Sioux City, Neb., Ty (Jenine) of Spearfish, S.D., and Ryan (Jenni) of Onalaska, Wis.; grandchildren, Montana and Morgan of Omaha, Neb., Derek of Gilbert, Ariz., Paige of Spearfish, S.D., Kyle and Connor of Onalaska, Wis.; and sisters, Maxine (Sis) Erickson, Pat Baker and Bonnie Broeder of Glendive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Spearfish Hospice, 1440 North Main, Spearfish, SD 57783.
