Nancy G. Anderson Ireland

Nancy G. Anderson Ireland died Saturday, February 20 at the Texoma Medical Center Denison, Texas.

Nancy was born to Robert A. and Mildred E. Anderson on March 4, 1963 in Whittier, Calif. She lived in Whittier and Bakersfield until 1977 when she moved with her family to Glendive.

Nancy had a lifelong love of horses and after moving to Montana she continued to train horses. Her family traveled to shows throughout the area including the NILE. She was successful with, first Lady Belle and later Sunny.

Nancy went to Austria as an exchange student between her junior and senior years in high school.

In 1981 Nancy graduated in the top 10% from Dawson County High School. She attended Dawson Community College graduating in 1983. She graduated with a degree in chemistry from Dickinson State University in 1985.

She worked for Dr. Richard Chambers as a phlebotomist and other related medical duties.

Nancy moved to Iowa where she worked for the state extension service. In 2011 she married Michael Ireland, a retired friend from her Dawson Community College days. Although married only 4.5 years, the couple enjoyed their short time together sharing many interests. In Texas, Nancy made new friends and became a member of Mike’s very close family. The couple lived in Lewisville, Texas until the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Ireland of Lewisville, Texas; her parents, Robert and Mildred Anderson; brother, Jeff Anderson of Glendive; aunt, Mary Stowitts of Calif.; and several cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held April 2 at 11am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 120 West Power Street with Reverend Guy Pontoriero officiating. Lunch will be served afterwards by the women of the congregation.
