Lori Jean Harrison, age 56, of Glendive, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
Per Lori’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Lori was born on October 6, 1959 in Williston, N.D. to Einer and Dorothy (Granbois) Olson. She was raised and educated in Williston, graduating from Williston High School with the class of 1978. Following high school, Lori attended the University of North Dakota Williston for a short time before she met Donny Goodman. They were later married and to this union one daughter Patricia “Trish” was born. After her marriage ended, Lori moved to Glendive to be close to her sister. In 1982 she met the love of her life, Royce Harrison and they were later married in October of 1983 in the old courthouse in Deadwood, S.D. Lori worked for several years in the Dawson County Courthouse in the assessor’s office and also for many area restaurants before her most recent job at A.W.A.R.E. She loved working at A.W.A.R.E. and cared deeply for the residents that were under her care.
Lori enjoyed music, singing and spending time with her family. She loved her pet poodles and her Denver Broncos. Her favorite times were spent at home in the company of her true love, Royce.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and her father, Einer.
Lori is survived by her husband, Royce Harrison of Glendive; her daughter, Trish (Sean) Torassa of Eugene, Ore.; her mother, Dorothy Walstad of Williston; her step-father, Donald Walstad “Pa” of Glendive; two sisters, Patricia (Ernest) Balve and Cheryl (David) Sandaker all of Williston; brother, Wynn Walstad of Glendive; dear friend, Bobbie Walstad; and numerous nieces and nephews.
