Robert “Bob” Bennett, age 84, formerly of Glendive passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Billings.
Private family services will be held in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Bob was born on July 26, 1932 to Charles “Charlie” and Mary “Ma” (Nentwig) Bennett in Glendive. Bob was raised and educated in Glendive, graduating from Dawson County High School with the class of 1950. Following high school, Bob remained on the family farm where he continued to farm and ranch until his health forced him to move in to town. Bob resided in Glendive for six years before he moved to Billings where he remained until his passing.
Bob enjoyed farming and ranching and was always proud of his agate rings that he wore.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Bennett; and his sister-in-law, Jean Bennett.
He is survived by four nephews, Gary (Renee) Bennett of Glendive, Tom Bennett (Linda McHenry) of Helena, David (Kari) Bennett of Billings and Jim (Sally) Bennett of Glendive; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
