Edward "Sonny" Buxbaum

Memorial gathering for Sonny Buxbaum, 82, of Savage, was held Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Fulkerson-Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Sidney.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home. Sonny was born May 20, 1933 to Henry and Lydia (Lapp) Buxbaum in Sidney.  He lived his entire life in Savage.

Sonny met Arlene Wilson and they were married in Savage on September 3, 1952.  They continued to reside in Savage and raise their four children while Sonny worked in the farming industry.

Sonny enjoyed family time and would spend many days participating in family rodeo and horse racing. Upon retirement, he found his passion of raising cattle on his family farm. He continued this until his death.

Sonny died on March 1, 2016 in the home he lived in his entire life.  He is survived by his wife, Arlene; sons, Danny Buxbaum of Billings; Cole Buxbaum of Phoenix, Ariz; daughters, Debra Wright of Columbus, Mont., and Colleen Wilson of Lodge Grass, Mont.; his two sisters, Helen Mittlestadt of Glendive and Florine Kraeer of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Morgan Wright; a nephew, Jeff Cozzens; and a niece, Belle Cozzens.
