Raymond "Ray" B. Strasheim

Raymond “Ray” B. Strasheim passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Prairie Community Hospital after losing a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Prairie County Cemetery.

Lori Jean Harrison, age 56, of Glendive, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.

Per Lori’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Lori was born on October 6, 1959 in Williston, N.D. to Einer and Dorothy (Granbois) Olson. She was raised and educated in Williston, graduating from Williston High School with the class of 1978. Following high school, Lori attended the University of North Dakota Williston for a short time before she met Donny Goodman. They were later married and to this union one daughter Patricia “Trish” was born. After her marriage ended, Lori moved to Glendive to be close to her sister. In 1982 she met the love of her life, Royce Harrison and they were later married in October of 1983 in the old courthouse in Deadwood, S.D. Lori worked for several years in the Dawson County Courthouse in the assessor’s office and also for many area restaurants before her most recent job at A.W.A.R.E.  She loved working at A.W.A.R.E. and cared deeply for the residents that were under her care.

Lori enjoyed music, singing and spending time with her family. She loved her pet poodles and her Denver Broncos. Her favorite times were spent at home in the company of her true love, Royce.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and her father, Einer.

Lori is survived by her husband, Royce Harrison of Glendive; her daughter, Trish (Sean) Torassa of Eugene, Ore.;  her mother, Dorothy Walstad of Williston; her step-father, Donald Walstad “Pa” of Glendive; two sisters, Patricia (Ernest) Balve and Cheryl (David) Sandaker all of Williston; brother, Wynn Walstad of Glendive; dear friend, Bobbie Walstad; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sidney "Sid" Eugene Stedman

Sidney “Sid” Eugene Stedman’s, age 70, of Glendive, heart of gold finally gave out on Monday, March 21, 2016 at his home in Glendive. 

Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Reverend Will Johnson officiating. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Sid was born on January 23, 1946 in Beach, N.D., a son of Norman and Georgia (Adams) Stedman. He was raised and educated in Beach until the eleventh grade when he was inducted into the United States Army on  March 13, 1963. Sid proudly served as an engineer during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged from military duty in 1966.

Sid met and later married his best friend, Carol Mitchell on November 25, 1968 in Glendive and to this union three children were born; Jason, Jeana and Joshua. Sid started working at the age of fourteen to support his family and never stopped. He worked for Mitchell Bros. Inc., Pine Street Inc., Dawson County Courthouse as a maintenance supervisor and C & J Rentals. Sid also had his own carpenter’s business called, “Sid’s Carpentry.”  He was a meticulous carpenter, an expert cement finisher and a true craftsman in all he did. Sid built many houses and projects for people, he could fix anything. He was misused by many but never misused anyone.

Sid was honest, loyal and a very hard worker; he never excepted good enough, he always wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible. He was a jokester that enjoyed laughing and pulling jokes on people and leaving goofy notes on pictures to his wife and kids. He would get a kick out of teasing his daughter-in-law about her accent and use of English words. Sid always enjoyed the people around him, they were always given a part of him; his love, attention, stories and help. His wife, children and grandchildren meant everything to him. Colby, his dog, was also very special to him. Sid enjoyed traveling, never taking main roads but the back roads because they were more crazy and adventurous. 

Sid had a deep and abiding faith in God but was very private about it. He supported many charities and organizations. He took great pride in all of his sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews achievements over the years. Sid was a member of Glendive Masonic Lodge #31 AF & AM, Demolay as a Past Dad Advisor service for eighteen years, Scottish Rite Masons Council, Moose Lodge, American Legion Club, he was a Boy Scout Master and a life time member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Georgia Stedman; infant son, Joshua; brothers, Charley, Gerald, Dale, Larry, Vernon, Edmund and David; brothers-in-law, Howard Wilson, Howard Vinquist and Emil Twardowski; sisters, Florence Vinquist and Dora Luella Wilson.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-seven years, Carol; son, Jason (Princisita); daughter, Jeana; grandchildren, Larieth, Kimberly, Benjamin, Kyle, Jessie and Yu Hyun; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Sofia and Eliel; one sister, Rosalie Twardowski; sisters-in-law, Ardis Stedman, Janice Stedman and Barb Fulton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gloria Dietz

Gloria Dietz, age 78, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her sister’s home in Sidney.

Gloria was born on July 22, 1937 in Fairview, Mont., a daughter of Henry and Marie Rein Kukus. Gloria attended school in Fairview and Sidney. She graduated in 1956. Following her high school education, Gloria went to work as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Glendive. Gloria worked for 31 ½ years as a telephone operator.

On August 7, 1968 Gloria married Frank Dietz and made their home in Glendive.

Gloria loved to fish at Fort Peck, every chance her and Frank had they were fishing. They met and made many new friends fishing. Gloria enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making beautiful blankets. Her flowers and her yard were very important to Gloria, even in the last few years when not feeling well she was out working in her flowers.

Gloria is survived by her sisters, Bonnie (Delmore) Damm of Sidney, Anna Ginther of Sidney; brothers, Robert (Shirley) Kukus of Sidney, Walter (Violet) Kukus of Glendive; and a very dear friend, Linda Buller and Tasha of Glendive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marie Kukus; her husband, Frank; step-son, Randy Dietz; two infant children; brothers, Arnold, Orlie, Donald and Gerald; sisters, Henrietta, Caroline and infant sister Kathryn; brother-in-laws, Reinhold Ginther and Don Hinman; sister-in-laws, Anna Marie Kukus and Joann Kukus; nephews, Larry Hanson, Mike Kukus and Kenny Kukus; and niece, Brenda Kukus.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Miles City.

Calda Lunde

Calda Lunde, age 84, of Glendive, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Billings Clinic in Billings. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating. A private interment will be held in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Calda was born on December 13, 1931 in Terry to Clarence and Mary (Green) Starr, the second of four children.  She graduated from Dawson County High School, class of 1949.

Calda was united in marriage to Bland Lunde on April 29, 1951 in Glendive. They raised three boys, Ken, Bob and Mark. Calda worked at the Glendive Sales Yard for the Granmoe’s and was a devoted employee of Dr. Roman Zuroff, Dr. Ken Zuroff and Dr. John Sparr. 

Calda was a devout Christian who deeply loved her Lord and her family. She was unassuming and hard-working; like our precious Lord, she gave unconditionally and liberally. She was a gifted homemaker and excellent cook. She loved flowers, being with her family and dancing with her husband, Bland.

Calda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary; and her son, Mark. She joined them in Heaven on Mark’s birthday, Good Friday.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Bland Lunde of Glendive; her son, Ken (Tammy) Lunde of Glendive; her son, Bob (Lynn) Lunde of Miles City; her brother, Norman (Lorraine) Starr of Big Timber; her sister, Betty Sauther of Billings; her sister, Norma Jean (Danny) Peterson of Glendive; six grandchildren, Jason (Julie), Lance (Caitlin), Levi, Markala (Chris), Jenny and Mimi; and five great-grandchildren.

Should friends desire, memorials are suggested to the “Loaves and Fishes” fund at Zion Lutheran Church, 401 Riverview Avenue, Glendive, Montana 59330.

Marjorie Amy Pettinato, 90, of Missoula passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Patrick Hospital.

She was born November 13, 1925 in Sidney to Charles Ira and Retta (Cooley) Moffett.

As a young girl she lived on a farm outside of Glendive. She was homeschooled until 4th grade by her mother, who passed away when Marge was only seven. After, she attended a rural one room school house and at age 16, graduated from Dawson County High School.

Between the depression and the drought that lasted several years. Life was difficult on the farm. Marge was taken in by several local people while attending school and learned to earn her keep at an early age.

After high school, Marge went on to complete an Associate’s Degree in Education. She then taught school for a year in another one room school house and then moved to Kalispell where she met the love of her life, Frank Pettinato. She married Frank on October 19, 1946.

Without complaint, Marge worked in order for Frank to continue his education. Eventually, the couple moved to Missoula and in 1956 adopted a baby boy Donald. In 1959, they adopted their second child, a baby girl who they named Loretta after Marge’s mother Retta. Less than one year later, they purchased their first home, and lived in that house until both of their deaths.

Together, Marge and Frank teamed up to make the world a better place. There was always an extra person sharing their home and table. They contributed generously to a variety of charities with their time and money. Marge volunteered at many different organizations, including St. Patrick’s Hospital, Friendship Force International and Christ the King Parish.

After retirement Marge and Frank spent several years traveling the world with Friendship Force. They kept a meticulous record of every country they visited and touched many lives along the way.

Marge was a kind and gentle soul who, with few words spoke volumes. Her humor was delivered as one liners with a straight face and a twinkle in her eye.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank. 

Survivors include her son, Donald (Mau) of Tampa, Fla.; her daughter, Loretta (R. Scott) of Duncan, Nine Mile; her brother, Donald (Irene) Moffett of Fallon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place in May or early June.

Patricia "Pat" (Rice) Hathaway

Patricia “Pat” (Rice) Hathaway, age 89, was born to eternal life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home in Glendive. 

Vigil services were held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive. A Memorial Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Francis Schreiber officiating. Rite of Committal will be held in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Pat was born to life on December 5, 1926 in Glendive, the daughter of Frank and Lillian Rice. She was raised and educated in Glendive, graduating from Dawson County High School with the class of 1943 at the age of 16. She attended the Columbus School of Nursing in Great Falls, Mont. as part of the Cadet Nurse Program. Upon graduating  from Nursing School in 1947, she pursued her nursing career at the University of Chicago Hospital.  

In 1949, Pat returned to Glendive and was engaged to Joe Hathaway whom she claimed “pursued me with great persistence.” Joe always said she was the “nicest and prettiest girl in Glendive.” They were married later that same year and to this union seven children were born: Patty, Mark, Pete, Molly, Ann, Teresa and Paul.  Pat and Joe traveled the world and enjoyed sixty-one years of marriage until Joe passed away in 2011.

After staying home to raise her seven children, Pat returned to work at the Glendive Community Hospital for one year. She was active in the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, volunteered for several years with the Glendive Hospital Auxiliary and was actively involved in the inception of hospice care in Glendive. She was bright and witty and unabashedly spoke her opinion, especially concerning politics. Pat was an avid reader, an ardent crossword puzzler and could recite any rhyme she ever heard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mark; daughter, Patty Pagnotta; son-in-law, Gary Pagnotta; two brothers, Francis Rice and Gordon Rice; and  one sister, Jean Evans.

Survivors include daughters, Molly (Scott) Reed of Phoenix, Ariz., Ann (Ron) Frazer of Billings, and Teresa Hathaway of Glendive; sons, Pete (Marlo) of Tucson, Ariz. and Paul (Colleen) of Madison, Wis.; twelve  grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Rachel, Leah, Noelle, Mariah, Jake, Meagan, Garth, Patrick, Betsy and Kelly;  ten great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Henry, Peter, Aidan, Jack, Lily, Sofia, Mallory, Fiona and Mary;   and numerous nieces and  nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Glendive  Medical Center Hospice, 202 Prospect Dr., Glendive, Montana 59330 and Glendive Public Library, 200 S. Kendrick Ave, Glendive, Montana  59330. Those who choose to send flowers can contact The Flower Basket in Glendive.

Barbara Jean Woodworth

Barbara Jean Woodworth, age 84, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2016. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Shepherd Cemetery.

Barbara was born May 16, 1932 to John and Matilda Erlewine in Madrid, NE. She graduated from High School in Grant, NE and then met the love of her life, Lester Woodworth. They were married April 2, 1950. They ranched in South Dakota and in 1967 moved to Glendive, MT where they ranched until they retired and moved to Billings. They are now reunited and probably kicking up their heels on the dance floor.

Mom was a hard worker, both on and off the ranch. She was a great cook and knew how to feed a branding crew. If you showed up at her house at meal time she made sure you never left hungry. She dedicated herself to Eastmont Human Services, working with special needs people and retired after 22 years of service. She played the piano, loved to embroider and crochet and volunteered at St Vincents Hospital. She enjoyed meeting people and visiting with all of her rodeo and team roping friends. Most of all, she loved being a Mom and Grandma. If there was a way to spoil a grandchild she would find a way. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester, her sister Lou Vene Erlewine and daughter Janice Austby. She is survived by her remaining children, Leon, Teresa (John) Madsen, Irma (Kelly) Meland and Gary, sister Darlene Stinnette, 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Alzheimers Foundation or American Cancer Society.

Christopher Knight

Christopher Knight, loving son of Roger and Cheryl Knight, was taken from this earth on April 3, 2016 after losing his battle with hydrocephalus.

Christopher, was positive and an inspiration to others.  Many have said that they would not be where they are today without his example and guidance. He loved life and in a short 33 years lived it to the fullest following his dreams and making them realities. He had a personality that put everyone at ease and he knew no strangers. He was very proud to have served his county and had two deployments to Iraq while serving in the Air Force. Christopher also had a great love of cars. He is greatly missed by all that knew him. 

He is survived by his parents, Roger & Cheryl Knight of Glendive; as well as his brother, Michael (Tristain) Knight; and Sister, Mikayla Knight; nephew, Jeremiah Knight also of Glendive; grandmothers, Carol Gould of Great Falls, Mont. and Miki Bates of Goldfield, Nev.; as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in Mont., Calif. and Nev.

Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 Winton Way, Atwater. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Apostolic Tabernacle, 2745 Hwy 140, Merced. Burial will follow at Winton Cemetery, 7651 Almond Ave. Winton.  

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 30 at Northwest Center, 2201 N W Bypass, Great Falls, MT. at 10 a.m.

Dorothy "Dot" Louise Erickson

On April 1, 2016, we said good-bye to our wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Peterson (Dot Erickson).

Born May 11, 1932 in the tiny town of Glenrock, Wyo. Dot was the youngest of Lawrence and Dorothy Peterson’s four children.  She grew up in Douglas, Wyo., with two loving brothers, Larry and Carl, and her best friend and dear sister, Betty. She attended college at the University of Kansas, where she studied music. Music became a key foundation in her life, and later, a driving force behind her desire to build and nurture her family. She taught piano, played the organ in the church and continued playing beautifully right up until her last day. In so many ways, music became her voice of expression, in making life wonderful for her family and many friends.

In August of 1953, in Douglas, Wyo., Dot married the love of her life, Don Erickson. They moved to Glendive, where they became parents to three sons, Kurt, Kent, Kraig and one daughter, KayDel. From the beginning, her life would be dedicated to raising her family and supporting her husband.  As a mother, Dot was a compassionate healer, a nurturer and steady voice of reason. She was firm when she had to be, and soft when she needed to. She was small but strong. 

Together Don and Dot built a successful business in Glendive and were perfect partners in every way. After retirement, they worked together to build their dream home in Lakeside, Mont., on beautiful Flathead Lake, where they lived happily for several years before eventually ending up in Billings.  Their love was truly special and she is now content to be back in his loving arms.

Dot is preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; two brothers; and sister. 

She is survived by her three sons, Kurt, Kent (Carla) and Kraig (Wendy) and daughter, KayDel (Randy) Shelton.  She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Ashlei (Nate)  Olsen, Alexander (Eileen) Erickson, Jillian (Jason) Sparks, Christopher Erickson, Chelsea Erickson, Alli Erickson, Sam Shelton and Tessa Shelton. Dot had 3 great-grandchildren, Ian Erickson, Piper Olsen and Jack Erickson. All of her family and extended family will miss her dearly.

We will be celebrating Dot Erickson’s life with worship and music at Atonement Lutheran Church in Billings on Saturday, May 14 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at Randy and KayDel’s at 1305 Hawthorne Lane in Billings.  All are welcome and memorials can be sent to Atonement Lutheran Church 1290 Sierra Grande Blvd, Billings, MT  59105.

Maylo Smith Toppins

Maylo Smith Toppins, age 97, of Glendive, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive. 

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Reverend Ruth McKenzie officiating. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. 

Maylo was born on August 15, 1918, in Glendive, to parents, Charles and Carol (Harlock) Smith. Her father was a conductor and a brakeman on the Northern Pacific Railroad. Charles and Carol moved their family to Mandan, N.D. where the three “Smith girls” grew up.

Maylo met the love of her life, the dashing, handsome outdoorsman, Robert Toppins and they were united in marriage on September 4, 1937. Together they moved to Glendive where they raised their family. Bob was eventually promoted to Chief Dispatcher of the Northern Pacific. He was also the Justice of the Peace in Glendive for many years. Maylo was always extremely proud of Bob.

Maylo was a fulltime mother and wife and was extremely active in the community. She was very devoted to St. Matthews Episcopal Church and was very involved in the church guild. Maylo was a member of the Republican Women’s Club, knitting club, the birthday club and she served as the president of the Glendive Garden club. She spent many years and countless hours volunteering at the nursing home and the radiology department at the hospital. Maylo was widely known for her renown baking and cooking skills. She loved working in her garden and knitting. She was famous for the rummage sales which she held and enjoyed attending other’s sales. Maylo enjoyed listening to music; Elvis and the Beatles were a few she really liked.

She and her husband retired to a life of gardening and spent many happy years at Fort Peck, Mont. Bob Toppins passed away in 2002 and Maylo became a resident at the Heritage and eventually the nursing home. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carol Smith; sisters, Betty Hoy and JoAnn Bell; husband, Bob Toppins; daughters, Elizabeth and Deborah; and grandchildren, Tracy and Todd Sykes.

Survivors include her daughter, Tenley Toppins of Bozeman, Mont.; son, Terry (Carole) Toppins of Missoula, Mont.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials are suggested in Maylo’s name to the Glendive Hospital Auxiliary, 202 Prospect Drive Glendive, Mont. 59330.

Funeral services for Jacqueline Waters, 76, of Richey were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Lonsdale United Methodist Church in Sidney, with Pastor Vicki Waddington officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home of Sidney.

Jackie was born on May 3, 1939 to John and Harriet (Bren) Whiteman in New Deal, Mont., which is now located under Fort Peck Lake.  When she was very young, Jackie moved from New Deal to a farm north of Richey.  When she was in the third grade, Jackie began attending Richey School. She also attended the Richey Methodist Church and became a member on April 17, 1949.

Jackie married her high school sweetheart Lynn Waters on August 23, 1959 at the Richey Methodist Church.   They remained in Richey and raised their three sons Gary, Russell and Michael.

Jackie spent many years as the secretary to the Richey Methodist Church and remained a member there until her death. She attended Bible study on a regular basis and enjoyed the time she spent with her many friends there.

Jackie passed away on April 18, 2016 at the Sidney Health Center in Sidney.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lynn Waters; sons, Gary (SuLee) Waters of Euless Texas, Russell Waters of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Michael Waters of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren whom she adored, Brooke and Bridger Waters and Courtney Anderson; sister and best friend, Marilyn Buechler of Richey; sister-in-law, Tilda Whiteman; and many nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John “Sonny” Whiteman.

Jaralee Aby

Jaralee Aby, age 86, of Glendive passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 surrounded by her family at Morningstar Senior Assisted Living in Billings.

Jaralee was born on November 20, 1929 in Haxtun, Colo. where she grew up during the Great Depression. She married Eugene Aby on January 6, 1951. Jaralee was a devout Christian. Her strength and wisdom came from her strong belief in God. She always found the positive and saw the miracles from God even when times were tough. She dedicated her life to her family.

Jaralee enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, sewing, golfing, ceramics and was a wonderful cook. She was a life master of Bridge. Jaralee enjoyed fantasy football and loved decorating for the holidays. She loved hosting gatherings with family and friends. Her life revolved around her family whom she loved dearly.

Jaralee is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene; three daughters, Tammy (Ken) Lunde, Jody (Marc) Applegate and Gina (Casey) Thiel; son, Bart (Abby) Aby; thirteen grandchildren,  Jason (Julie), Lance (Caitlin), Levi, Markala (Chris), Kelly (Molly), Kyle (Becky), Craig (Megan), Cassie (Josh), Tiffany (Andrew), Ashley, Whitney, Eli and Alyse; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Family received friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4-6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Glendive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Glendive. Evelyn Jean Malkuch Kleppelid

Evelyn Jean Malkuch Kleppelid, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 21, 2016.

Jean was born on May 8, 1932 to Ernest and Dora Malkuch in Glendive.  Jean was one of twelve children who grew up on a family farm where hard work and love were plentiful.  Jean graduated high school in Glendive.  Jean was working for Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Glendive when she moved to Circle to help start Faith Assembly of God Church.  There she met her husband, Wayne Kleppelid and his five young boys.  Wayne and Jean were married on September 14, 1963; through that union, two more boys were added.  Wayne and Jean knew no strangers and everyone felt loved and welcomed in their home.  Jean loved to cook, especially her boys’ favorite meal, scalloped potatoes.

Jean was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter and sister, who was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents; and her eleven siblings. 

Jean is survived by her seven sons:  Chuck (Betty) of Hurst, Texas; Donnie (Debbie) of Huntsville, Texas; Lyle (Vicky) Kleppelid of Jackson, Miss.; Kevin (Kim) of Baker; Darrel of Circle; Todd (Tonya) of Circle; and David (Emmie) of Helena. Jean had seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who all remember Grandma’s chocolate chip cookies that she made by the “feel” of the dough rather than a recipe. Jean was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
